About EZ Performer

The backing-track player built for a dark stage and a quick glance.

EZ Performer turns a musician's backing tracks into a grid of large, colour-coded pads that you tap to play. Instead of scrolling through a phone full of audio files between songs, every track sits on screen one tap away. Tap a pad and it plays, tap it again to pause, and tap a different one to switch — so only one track ever plays at a time. Each pad carries its own volume, its own three-band equaliser and, if the number needs one, a four-beat count-in at the tempo you set at soundcheck.

It is built for working musicians: solo singers, duos, function bands and pub acts who perform with backing tracks night after night. Everything is shaped around that job. Pads are colour-coded and tagged by music style so you can find a song by sight, a search box narrows the grid as you type, and setlists let you load a whole running order in one tap. Gigs live in a calendar, and each gig can hold the setlist for that show, ready before you walk on.

EZ Performer is made by Jazz Station Technology, a small independent studio that builds tools for working musicians. It is designed, built and supported by a small team who play the same rooms our users do, which is why the app is arranged the way it is: a tablet on a stand, a set that has to keep moving, and no time to hunt for a file name.

  • Every backing track becomes a large, colour-coded pad you tap to play.
  • Each pad keeps its own volume, three-band equaliser and 4-beat count-in.
  • Build setlists for a show and tie them to gigs in the calendar.
  • Performance mode strips the screen back to the pads alone.
